The Speaker for this evening will be Dr Antonis Papanestis
who works at the Rutherford Appleton laboratory, part of the Sciences and Facilities Research Council (STFC).
He is a
member of the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and
the project leader of the Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors of LHCb.
His talk is about CERN and LHCb, particle physics and the standard model, dark matter and dark energy.
