The next meeting of the Wealden Astronomers will be at Herstmonceux Village Hall on Friday 4th January 2019 at 7.00 for 7.30 PM

Wealden Astronomers meet at Herstmonceux Village Hall on the First Friday of every month.

We are now members of the Federation of Astronomical Societies and also have Public Liability Insurance. 
 

The next meeting of the Wealden Astronomers will be at Herstmonceux Village Hall on Friday 4th January 2019 at 7.00 for 7.30 PM - Tea, Coffee & Biscuits.

The Speaker for this evening will be Dr Antonis Papanestis
who works at the Rutherford Appleton laboratory, part of the Sciences and Facilities Research Council (STFC).

He is a member of the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN  and the project leader of the Ring Imaging Cherenkov detectors of LHCb.
His talk is about CERN and LHCb, particle physics and the standard model, dark matter and dark energy.
